Wedge TR8 RH side lights

I know, I know, I know.... I have asked this question many times. My RH side lights keep blowing the fuss. I know that there supposed to be just four lights on the circuit, the bumper light, the two side lights and the rear light. I have disconnect all the lights/pulled the bulbs and still with no lights on the circuit, it blows the fuse immediately. HELP!

Just to show that I am a DPO (still have the car though) as I was pulling my stereo I tore the wire for my dash lights. I am literally losing ground here this spring.

I made an appointment for Tuesday with the local suspension shop to figure out my front wobble. I will be tracking guesses on here for what it ends up being and the winner gets to gloat and tell me "I told you so" any time they like

The front suspension has new tie rods, new ball joints, new wheel bearings, the struts are two years old, the subframe has polys in it. The wheel and tires are new and have been balances.

I wish I had gotten that SD1 so I could have something fun to drive while I fight with my 8

It's still here Scott if you decide you really want to punish yourself.

My money is on the tires/balancing taking care of the shimmy. Guys?

Make sure that the little metal clips that hold the bulb in place on the side markers isn't coming in contact with the body. Remove the wires from all of the affected lenses and tape them up. If you are still blowing fuses, then it will most likely be in the harness somewhere. At least that way, you have eliminated the point of use as the culprit. Good luck with that suspension shop thing. Sounds expensive. Did you jack the car up and wiggle the wheels real hard to try and determine what is moving? Sometimes it is just a very slight movement, and often it can't be seen unless the wheel is loaded. My guess is ball joints. Even thou they are new, there have been some real junk ones coming thru. I had a set that the boots rotted out in under a year, and the car never came off my lift. In fact its still up there with bad new ball joints waiting for the 4.0 turbo motor to come back from the machine shop.

No "I told you so" here, but I will say that Wedges seem to be born with the issue. I'm slowly learning to avoid speeds between 38 and 52.

Based on what you've done, I'd guess steering rack wear or subframe mount issues.

As for the light circuit, sounds like a short somewhere in the wiring.

I think the rack also. my fhc had a problem wobble until I replaced the rack.

I had a side marker problem I traced down to the right side head lamp.

First the lights, I have pulled every light out of the socked, ensured the sockets are not in contact with anything that might short it...

Now the Shimy
It is not the tires or rims, both are new and freshly balanaced. Wheel bearing are new. I have jacked the front end up and shaked and pulled and nothing unsual...

For any one going to TRF, I have a very nice set of 14' Panasports I am in need of parting ways with. My garage currently has my son's stock Volvo and daughter's stock VW tires and rims filling a corner. I will probably only be at the 1st day of TRF due to Military obligations

Well my 8 just dumbfounds me. I sorted out the wire I ripped when playing with the stereo and it was a wire for the dash lights. I fixed it and I went back to play with the R/H lights and.... they work. The only issue is the front side lap is out and frankly I am debating fixing it because it might blow the other lights out...

Tomorrow is back to the suspension vibration...
