Wedge TR8 rear brake drum removal

Actually confirmed there is no access from the backing plate. Went to Rimmer Brothers and looked at pictures of new backing plates. There is no hole for access just the cylinder, emergency brake, shoe retaining pins and four bolts. There are just the holes in the front of the drum for something.

Over time, the shoes will wear a lip on the outer edge of the drum. Since the shoes are fully extended, they will ride up inside that lip. Make sure the ebrake is not engaged. Remove the wheel. Bang on the drum, spin the drum and depress the brake pedal real hard. Repeat these steps several times or until very little brake dust falls out of the bottom when you are hitting the drum. Hopefully this will free everything up a little. Take the hammer and bang away on the back side of the drum. There will be a very small bit of drum that extends beyond the backing plates. That is what you aim for. Smack it all the way around until it starts to move. One thing that has always worked for me is a long board. Take a 2X4 or something similar. Run it under the car towards the other rear wheel. Prop one end up so that it is against the rear of the drum. Walk to the other side of the car and smack the end of the board with a big sledge. You will destroy the ends of the board, but the drum will come loose.

No joy. Same for both sides. It's as though something else was still holding it. There is something definitely different about this setup. Just can not find the key.
