Wedge TR8 Power Steering Rack is Out!

Slowly it returns to life. I received the rack yesterday..... I have it on the subframe, in the car and loosely bound. Tightening, and final assembly later next week as I have commitments tomorrow.

This has proven to be far more entertaining than I ever imagined.

On the bench with all new stainless tubes:

Randy, you sure you got them tubes going in the right direction?

Steering rack is back in and I have 5 miles on it. Things seem a little tight, but I need an alignment and I suspect things will loosen up as almost everything underneath is new.

Lets see...what I have done so far this year....installed:

rebuilt steering rack
rebuilt power steering pump
tie rod ends
ball joints
sway bar bushings
fixed the A/C system
new front brakes
front motor mounts
oil pan gasket
alternator
radio
carpets
speakers
subwoofer
amplifier
heater control valve
rebuilt rear brakes

...that's it for now.

Pretty amazing when you think that the car was running just fine in April.

Randy,

Sounds like practice for the project TR3 you need to buy.
