Wedge TR8 Mallory Distributor

My original distributor is going bad according to my mechanic. Instead of replacing it with a stock one, I was thinking about going with a Mallory. Any advice out there on this? Advantages, disadvantages? Also, what exact model for a TR8 would be helpful as well, and part # etc.

Thanks!

Still need help. Which model is best?! Also, who has the best price?

Thanks!

I personally have the Unilite for my TR6, it's been great. No points!

I have no idea what the advance curve is for the stock dizzy, but depending on what that was I would choose either the high advance or low advance versions. Either way, the Unilite is by far the better choice.

When I purchased my TR8 it came with MSD. I was fixing it and was not sure what shape the MSD set up was in so I called MSD and they told me to send it to them and they would check it out. A week later it was returned, cleaned, new wires, and updated. Cost,.... shipping was it. THey won me as customer

I will look tonight when I get done replacing my radiator.
