Well after a very eventful alternator failure I finished the interior.

New radio, speakers, subwoofer, amp, heater valve & alternator. All back together....

Started with this:

Ended with this:

Very sharp looking Randy!

That looks great, where did you get the carpeting

Thanks guys.... I bought the carpet set from the Roadster Factory. It fit pretty well. I wanted the wool, but they were unable to get it for me in the blue I needed.

On a scale of 1 - 10, I would give it an 8. Some pieces need trimming and the main floor mats, while edged, still have some spots I where can see the webbing on the edges.

Randy, will be calling you on this.I'm getting samples from Prestige hopefully soon.

Great job, Randy!

And +1 on the Roadster Factory carpet set. Here's what mine looked like after I redid the interior:

I know I need one, my wife can't seem to understand it. It is hard to convince her that I need another play toy when I hardly use the one I have......

BTW, those are both BEAUTIFUL TR8's....sigh.....

Something sacrilege about a man of the cloth and an engine that looks like this

If it makes you feel better, it actually looks more like this now:

Thought about you today. We are looking to build a house and ran to several flooring places this afternoon. It was 85 degrees... The easy option was to take the Lexus. With the A/C working on the 8 and the top up, we took the Triumph and had a blast..and the wife cool & comfortable.

Having modern comforts when required is great when the other half is involved

A TR8 is remarkably modern in many respects....

Hi Randy, where did you find your speakers?
Tom

I put in a Blaupunkt system for two reasons.

1. The radio I took out was a Blaupunkt and it was over 20 years old and still worked. They earned my business.

2. The radio I found was only 6" deep. Considering there is not a lot of room in there, it worked well.

I did need to file the sides of the dash console down to get the 7" width to fit, but you will need to do that with almost any Din radio.

Here is what I installed:

Blaupunkt Hamburg MP-68 (bluetooth too!) https://www.midwestelectronics.com/products/Blaupunkt-Hamburg-MP68.html

Door Speakers: https://www.midwestelectronics.com/products/Blaupunkt-THc662.html

Rear deck speakers: https://www.midwestelectronics.com/products/Blaupunkt-THx542.html

Subwoofer (behind passenger seat): https://www.midwestelectronics.com/products/Blaupunkt-THb200A.html

Amplifier (in trunk): https://www.midwestelectronics.com/products/Blaupunkt-EMa460.html
