Wedge TR8 intake manifold coolant nipple

I'm working on my Vanagon and found that the coolant nipple on the 1.9l TD engine fits the rear of the TR8 intake manifold. The fastener holes line up and the o-ring appears to seal the aperture. I haven't tried it in a filled system yet to try, but the nipple , part no. 026 121 144A, only costs about two bucks online.
