Wedge TR8 Heater Control Valve

My heater control valve started leaking a few years ago. I shut it off and it stopped and that's they way it has been since.

Time to replace it. The original is NLS. Any guidance on what valve fits? I was told a Volvo valve part number 1348252-6 superseded by part no. 9131998 fits, but can not find it anywhere.

Anyone?

Yet one more thing I wish I'd written down! :wall:

I went through this when I restored mine - found a replacement, but not sure I recorded all the vital info. I'll check through my stuff and see if I can locate it.

I have this saved from the time I had a TR7:

https://www.ipdusa.com/p-69-2737 - Direct fit on 1975-1991 200 series Volvos

"Auto Zone part # ready aire #5864 at less than $50.00. Way less expensive than a Volvo part $165.00. The Auto zone part carries the same mfg number as the original part. I received mine and it is a perfect match to the original. Also available at Kragens. It must be looked up under the Volvo application, 1974-1978 240 series Volvos"

A year ago I'd have sold ya a used one for a fin... and thrown in a FREE 240 wagon (attached)! :smirk:

Uhmmmm Never mind. I just ordered the one in the link. $165 seems outrageous, but I can not find it elsewhere.

They made me fill out a form that forced a car selection. I will now be receiving various spam e-mails about my 1980 Volvo 240 turbo

call the police and tell em someone stole your Volvo
