Wedge TR8 Fuel Injection

How reliable are the fuel injection systems. I noticed that many have been replaced by 4 barrel carberators for increased power. I assume that the carberators are accompanied by a hotter camshaft. Would' t the fuel injected system be amendable to hore power upgrades.

Here is the deal with the fuel injection.........all the wiring and the infamous ECU can at any moment die. Those are the cars best left alone if they work. It is recommended to do a cam with a 4 barrel conversion since the lift on the stock cams is less than a fuel pump lobe. Now if you do upgrades to the fuel injection unless you take out the ECU your stuck with no real tuning and power is stuck in one mode. If you keep the hardware and go to programmable system yes you wake the engine up but your talking lots of time and money. The 4 barrel, cam, headers, intake and distributer for a weekend and maybe a few more day(s) for the money under $1500 give you a bump from 135hp to over 200hp and anyone can work on it olus you can't beat the looks!

PHWEEEETTT!!!!! (Bronx Cheer)

Best part about an adjustable FI is that you don't have to get your knuckles and finger nails dirty. Just punch a few keys.

But getting dirty is the fun part!

I still like the look of HIF6's in the engine bay.

I have a 175,000 miles on my FI system. I replaced the injectors once. Bought two ECU's on eBay for a song. A little solder and away they went.

I like the FI....and they way they are getting ripped out, it becomes more of a rarity each day.
