Wedge TR8 Cam Upgrade...

My DPO had placed a 3.90 in his car in belief he was going to race it. I drove it for a few years with the 3.90 in but it was too gear bound to be a pleasure to drive any distance so I went with a 3.45. I love it, seems to be a perfect compromise. Of course the DHC I just bought (according to TR8Todd) already has a 3.45 in it so if you are looking I probably have one sitting in my garage.

I have the same cam as Mickey I see

Cam: Lift: Intake .448; duration 280
Exhaust .460; duration 288

I will make the offer again, I have a 1980 TR8 (minus drive line and some odds and ends) I will be taking to the local Triumph/LBC yard soon, if you need anything let me know before then

12/37 is right. i just didn't believe myself

What can you tell me about the "Isky cam"

Iskenderian is one of several companies that will grind cams for the Rover V8. They will design and or grind any profile you want. Unless you are proficient in "cam speak", you would be better off telling Woody what you want your car to do, and letting him tell you what cam you need. You can put the same cam in two differently prepared cars and get two totally different results. Cams should be chosen along with other planned mods such as headers, exhaust, compression, and carburetion. They are part of a total package. What grind are you looking at and what other mods do you plan to do? How do you want your car to behave when you are done? What kind of car are you puuting the cam in? How much does the car weigh? How will you be using the car? Are emissions a concern in your state?
