Wedge TR8 air conditioning parts??

Does anyone know where I can get TR8 A/C parts? I've tried most catalogs and online stores but can find very few parts. More specifically, I'm looking for the high pressure cut in unit and dryer. Or, if anyone has heard of an A/C replacement(complete system), please let me know. Most articles are about how the a/c doesn't work and not about how to fix them.

I'd check with some of the local A/C shops. THe system on the TR7s (and the 8s should be the same or similar) was a York system used on literally millions of cars in the 80s.

[/ QUOTE ]My Victoria British catalog (www.victoriabritish.com) has nearly all the parts for TR7/TR8 AC systems. The "A/C unit" price is $389.95, the A/C motor is $160.95, and most other A/C parts are listed for both TR7 and TR8. However, V-B does not show a condenser for a TR8, just TR7. The condensers may have been different between the TR7 and TR8 due to differences in radiators and fans.

You might also try www.wedgeparts.com, www.the-roadster-factory.com, and www.rimmerbros.co.uk. Wedgeparts often has better prices than Victoria British on some TR8 items. Good luck! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

You might also want to try Ted at TSI (https://www.tsimportedautomotive.com/) or Woody Cooper at Woody's Wedge Shop 100 New State Hwy #213 Raynham, MA 02767 (508) 880-5448. Woody doesn't have a web site, but call him - I promise it will be worth it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
