I've been driving my TR7V8 around the last week to work the bugs out. On the surface streets I have the temp gauge at 3/8 but on the highway it runs about (or just over) 1/2. Not sure why highway speeds are a potential problem, airflow is better and rpm's are similar.
It took me awhile to sort out my primary fan on temperature -- the sending unit isn't sensing the correct Temp (HF's non-contact temp. reader solved that). I'm using my spare radiator, so I guess I'll get the original radiator rebuilt with extra thick cores and that should help the cooling.
It sounds great and once it warms up is quite fast. At least for the 4 miles to work. The autozone guys are impressed. They laugh when I come in asking for Saab parts and what not. I usually try to bring in part numbers and do the research first so all they do is the ordering.
