Wedge TR7 won't start -- arrggh

sammyb, the spark sure seems likely, just the dry plugs kind of go against this, If you have a couple of different length screwdrivers you can take off the bottom of the carbs, streight edge and some are different lenghts so lay them out for replacement. After they are all out with a bit of wiggle the bottom will drop off and with a mirror you can see to take the jet out for checking. Be careful with the gasket if you don't have another. Wayne

So you guys have had luck with taking the bowls off even with the carbs still on the car?

And I know, I thought ignition too...but it's those dang dry plugs!! They are dry as BYU's campus!

I'll see this weekend about getting at the bowls. I always get nervous before opening up carbs I've never been inside.

The update as of Dec 1 -- Took the carbs back off, and the carb mounts had already separated!!! So I took the mounts off and today used 3M Marine 5000 ultra-stick-your-cheeks- together glue/sealant to hopefully solve that issue. It will take 7 days for that glue to completely dry.

Decided to remove the float bowls and MAN there was a lot of sedement in there. The jets were indeed clogged/stuck closed on both of them. Cleaned 'em up and put them back together.

So now it's waiting time for the glue and then getting an hour to put it all back together again.

The car is under the portable garage, so no heat -- which makes it harder to put on those cold little bolts.
