I sure hope he gets what he wants...it would make me feel better about what I have tied up in mine. But doubt he'll even get a nibble....

TR7 Spider

Were those seats ever an option? They look like recovered factory seats poorly done (the quality may mean they are factory)

Not the original seat covers, but the originals haven't been available for years. I'm prejudiced, but it would be worth more in my book if it were the FI California one like Rich's.

Pretty high price, but definitely a nice looking car. Were there other TR7 models that came standard with the TR8 alloys? Currently there's a TR7 on craigslist with those alloys, but a blue paint job. Being sold as a parts car, but the alloys alone would be worth more than the asking price. I'm very tempted...

For $14K,I'd expect this car to be near perfect.
At least the A/C should be recharged. There could be more
"restoration" for the new owner, down the road.

I believe the Spider was the only 7 offered with the alloys, which were slightly different (in finish, maybe?) from the TR8 rims. The problem with these rims is that they're 13", and decent tires are nearly impossible to find, now that all you can get are Conestoga Wagon wheels any more!

My 81 dhc came with the alloys (stock). my '76 fhc came with some rather nice white spokers (stock), however, I can't use the white wheels with my TR8 calipers I installed. I've been using Sumitomo 195x13-60's on my wheels.

While the overall execution of the seat trimmings are not so great, I do think the idea of recovering the seats in the appropriate "spider" colours was well pulled off....my real beef is the cheesy Ford radio installation, which in in my opinion really cheapens the car............

The most important thing is that he loves the car because I think he's going to have it for a while longer. :yesnod:

If that beautiful Aran Beige TR8 (Item number: 290258372390) couldn't even pull $10K out of anyone's pocket last week, I don't think this TR7 is going anywhere near $14K.
