My kids got me new plaid door panels for Xmas for the TR7. I am now looking for the golden tan plaid seat covers. Anyone have a set to sell or do you know if the ones from Rimmer Brothers would match the door panels from Victoria British?

The door panels do say mad in England so I'm thinking the same thing. However looking at RB web site the covers look more golden.

Whoever Rimmers contracted to remanufacture TR7 door panels and seat covers, undoubtedly supplies the rest of the TR7 vendors. It would be my guess that everybody else gets them from Rimmers at a discount and resells. Pretty safe bet that there isn't more than one company remanufacturing these things. Not much demand for them. That's why they are available for a time, then unavailable for a time, then available again. Obviously there needs to be enough demand for them in order to justify making whatever the minimum run would be. Someday soon there won't be enough of a demand and then they will be gone forever. If they are available now and you want them, buy them. 2 weeks? 2 months? 2 years from now? they will be gone. I need a set of the blue seat covers. Bought a set on Fathers day last year, went back in August for another set- NLA.

Todd how was your experience? How much did you get socked for import taxes? The price is attractive but shipping for seat covers is $100 plus import tax could send it out of sight.

I had seat covers, a couple of TR8 emblem kits, and a set of window scrapers delivered. They showed up in 2 days. Went England to Germany to Maryland to Boston to me, mostly by airplane. I want to say total shipping was around $35. I remember that I got everything to my door for $100 less than what Vicky Brit wanted for just the covers. oooh I just remembered, I need another set of TR8 emblems for the car I have in primer.

I'm with the boys above
Since you are in Ohio ,should not be bad.I ordered stuff from them when I lived in the rainy city and still was fairly quick.
Now that I'm in the sunny south I look forward to ordering from them.
And don't worry about all those taxes. It's a small bite ...unless you spending a kings ransom

Thanks for all that chimed in. Seat covers and a $7 pipe with shipping approx $431 per quote. What is the best way to pay? CC would have exchange rates? PayPal better? Looks like I'm going to do this just need more info before being jumping out of the nest.

Never done PP with Rimmers.
There will be an exchange rate anyway
I think you are discussing the overseas fee to the CC.
Don't know if there is that same fee for PP.
Anyone know?

I have bought before from Rimmers using a CC.... most CC companies charge a small exchange rate. Don't worry about the taxes as it is small as others have said and you may not even be charged any taxes at all. If it is a small package, it will probably be left at your door like any other package with no duties.
I bought my complete interior in the UK and saved lots of money even with the shipping. Good luck.

Just got a flyer in the mail from Rimmers. Seems they are having a mid winter sale and those covers are on sale till this weekend.

I bought some rocker shafts when I was going to rebuild your old heads, but I got them off ebay.uk. I paid with Paypay. It worked ok.
