Lately, when I was to start my tr7, I need to manual choke it. This is a bit unusual. Now it wont idle. It will start and rev up with choke, but it will not idle. If you drive it, it will hesitate and stumble a bit at half acceleration. (As a side note, it has consumed a little oil recently, which is unusual. No leaks. This may not be related.) Any suggestiions on where to start with the trouble shooting would be appreciated. I have thought about fuel pump, carb issue and electrical issue, Help?

I'd start by checking for vacuum leaks.

Hoo-boy! First, I don't think the oil consumption is related. As for the fix, it could be any of the issues you list, or a combination. When was the last time it was driven, really driven? Fresh gas? If so, then I would start with electrical issues. Those are the "usual suspects" and the easiest to fix or eliminate as gremlins.

have you checked the static timing recently?

it is driven several times a week. 2000 miles this summer. I have recently gotten gas, so I did try some dry gas...but no improvement
