Does anyone know where I can get a middle muffler for a tr7, in the old mild steel. I need a whole system, and I can not justify the crazy moneu for SS. Also, are the monza systems really that loud???? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

I think the Monza systems get a bad rap from other LBCs, especially ones with 4 speeds, especially ar highway speeds. Personally, I have a Monza on the Spider, and love it. Nice deep rumble when decelerating, but not too loud.

if you know the general measurements, go to a local automotive parts warehouse (not like autozone, but more like a NAPA distribution store) and ask them for mufflers of the same size. My $680 Mercedes muffler ended up being $22. Same muffler, but it didn't have a mercedes part number on it.

i had mine replaced at a corner muffler shop in norman oklahoma one afternoon. tore up my exhaust on some rail road tracks. they had one in stock, cost me $32.00 including installation.

i saw this on ebay while looking for spitty parts. tr7 muffler

I just installed one from VB on my '80 Spider. They did not have the stainless steel model in stock, so I ordered the previous "mild steel" model for the earlier car. It fit well enough, although I have a bit of a rattle against the floorpan under acceleration. It was around $80 for the muffler.
