Wedge TR7 exterior door handle buffer instalation

The exterior door handle buffers on tr7 seem to always fall out. Now my door handle folds to far in the door. Does anyone know how to install the new buffers? It seems impossible to get them in.:welcoming:

I did this for my car, and have been happy. Took some shaving to get the heads just the right thickness, but they shouldn't compress over time.

Buffers are almost always supposed to be installed by pulling the pigtail through
the hole.Take the handle off!!!

You can buy the rubber bump stops at your local True Value.

They can be installed without pulling the door handle out of the car.

Put some soapy water on the new bump stop and slip the pigtail in place. Close the handle and give it a push. The bump stop will pop into place.
