Tr7 carborator switch out

Hello all, I am looking at changing my 1980 TR7 to the weber carborator. Has any one done this or know of any reference material I could look over before I start. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you Google weber carb on TR7 you will get a lot of info. Victoria British apparently has a Weber setup for your car. There seems to be some problems with the conversion
according to what I read. Cases of high crankcase pressure and blowing oil out the dipstick hole. I have a Weber on my Spitfire and I don't favor it. Hard to adjust and I don't feel that I get decent mileage. I also have a persistent gasoline smell when I start the car which lasts 5-10 minutes. I have had a Weber specialist look things over and he says
everything is fine. A lot of people swear by the Weber, I am not one of them. If you need to make changes to the Weber you get into different emulsion tubes and venturi s.
