My rubber carb mount has failed again. this time, the rubber seperated from the mount, so one carb is very loose. I bought these new from VB, and they are repro junk. Has anyone tried the aluminum mounts that some people have made and offer for sale. Or, are the mountings from moss motors any better?

Even the new old stock ones are aging so if the is an issue have you checked your motor mounts? If they are bad then the motor jumps and moves around more making the carb mount take more vibration and eventually fail in faster time. I know people in the past have made them from aluminum and never had an issue but that was YEARS ago in a galaxy far, far away!

Yes, I have them for both my Stromburgs and my Webers.

Contact Anthony Rhodes his email is spamiam@comcast.net.
