Wedge TR7 Brake squeal

I just had new rotors, pads and bearings installed on my 1980 TR7. I trust my mechanic, he has done great work on my car over the years. The car got a very loud constant brake squeal with semimetallic pads. I brought it back , and he cleaned the pads and rotors, but the squeal came back in about 5 miles. I think only on one side. The car never squealed with old pads (asbestos) and they wore great. I bought a new set of pads, and some antisqueal strips and will try that. Ay suggestions or tricks? Thanks for any help.
 
Try filing a small bevel on the leading edge of each pad.
