For what its worth... I was able to find a new mohair top on e-bay which I bought for just $350. They sell for over $600 new. I also bought a NOS boot for just over $100 off e-bay. They're pricey as well. The TR8 top is pretty straight forward. An easy install. Another way to look at the purchase might be than its worth the chance to purchase the least expensive because you live in southern Calif. and the top will be down anyway.
