when I repainted my TR6, I took the windscreen off to paint it too. When I reinstalled it I didnt roll the windows up to see if they fit( my bad), as I usually only drive in nice weather and never roll the windows up, now when I roll the drivers side and passenger windows up they don't fit, Gap at the bottom and at the top they hit the windscreen frame, Where is the adjustment made? I am putting new passenger side and driver side glass in and there appears to be no adjustment in the tracks, so I assume the adjustment is in the frame, I also had a new top installed years ago too and afraid if I can get the windows to fit correctly by adjusting the windscreen frame, the top will not fit any more. Thoughts?

The adjustment on your situation lies with the windshield. On each side of your windshield the post that goes down into the body needs to be loosened and the windshield moved into a position that accommodates the windows in the up position. There is the nut on the bottom of the "post" as well as the bolts that hold that plate/bracket the post fits into. You may well have to loosen the bolts that hold the windshield in place on the dash.
You are not the first to make this mistake.
This is not an easy place to get into on a TR6.
As to the fit of the top I say that you need to start somewhere and getting your windows to close is the logical first step.
By the way the TR4 and TR6 use the same windshield as do some of the Spitfires.

thanks I kind of figured that was how to adjust the Windscreen frame, so at some point I will bit the bullet and get it worked out. I need a new Windscreen gasket anyway, when I replace it I can work on the fit too

I have found that replacing the windshield gasket is easiest done while the windshield is firmly planted in the car. That is unless you have some other way to firmly hold it in place elsewhere.
