TR6 TR6 V-8 Automatic, with optional clutch pedal

This is a curious setup. Scroll down to the interior page and notice the clutch pedal.

I didn't realize that a small block Chevy would fit without extensive firewall mods, but you learn something every day.

Installation doesn't look too bad either.

Nothing against Hotrodders, but in my opinion these "funny cars" aren't TR6s'.
Why don't they just buy a Corvette?

Totally agree! Why hack up a saveable LBC when you can go find a tire eating V8 power'd Wazzit and make all th' rubber smoke ya want. Without all that work.

It confounds me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif

It looks like it WAS a decent example of a TR6. Not anymore.
Maybe after all that work he couldn't figure out how to remove the clutch pedal.

Doc,

I agree with both of you. Have either of you figured you the clutch yet?

Time to go shovel the snow before the rain makes it too heavy to lift.

Ughhh, another 6-7 inches of wet snow. Just what we needed.

Paul, perhaps the clutch pedal is being used as a dead pedal. It certainly is, with the slush box in there.
We've got about 8" of fine powder. When it quits, I'll attack the driveway.
Jeff

Saw an ad for a TR6 for sale on the West Coast a few years ago. Totally stock TR6 that had been fitted with an automatic! Apparently belonged to someone that might have been disabled and couldn't work a clutch. Must have been off another British car that was an fairly even swap. I thought it was cool....

Probably is a dead pedal, sort of like my back right now. LOL!!

Another six inches of wet sleet and snow. I just got my patio cleared and the rain started. I have a path down the sidewalk and around the cars in the driveway. The snow is pilled about three (3) feet high on either side.

Todays rain and tonights freeze should make one heck of an icy mess tomorrow morning.

Hmmm, I wonder if that was the car that Steve Hedke (of British Pacific) once built for his Dad. Was written up in the TRSC newsletter many years ago and reprinted in Tech Talk. ISTR the auto box was a BW35 from a Triumph sedan, maybe a TR2000. Sounded like it went in pretty easy.

One and the same.
