TR6 TR6 top cover/plastic snaps

Hi all,

Many of the plastic snaps on my convertible top cover are broken such that it flaps in the breeze. Are new snaps easy to install, and do they work? Or is it an exercise in futility?

New metal snaps are easy enough to install, and I think they're available in a black anodized(?) finish to look almost exactly like the plastic ones (which I never much cared for, anyway)!
