currently running hs6 su's on my tr6 and feel they run better than the strombergs am thinking of going with a goodparts triple conversion is there anyone out there that has done this conversion and have any thoughts or problems with it thanks

You won't regret the trip's!!! Tho I'm no 'rumphie I've done the deed (well in the past) and it'll transform the car.

Isn't there been a problem with the SU trips. as being to wide?

If your using HS6's then the side mount float bowls can interfere. Those three carbs are fairly close together on the triple carb manifold. Its the center carb that can cause the tight squeeze issue. Triple SU HIF44's would be pretty good though.

That's what Tony at Ratco runs. No trouble with the fit.

The reason the SU HIF44's work well is because they have an integrated float bowl, just like Zenith Strombergs.

another question to the group with a stock motor is it even worth the time and trouble and expence to go with a triple set up or just leave it as a dual setup

If you have a stock motor ,leave it that way

I agree. Your engine will get all the fuel it needs with 2 carbs having 1.75 inch throats.
