Hello,
I have a 69 TR6, and finally got around to repainting and covering my steering wheel. Can someone offer suggestions on how to put the horn button, surround, and round metal plate back on? I am especially interested in the order in which they go together. The horn surround is not replaceable, is old, and I am nervous about forcing things. Thanks in advance for any help.
Kevin

If the 69 is the same as the later cars wheels which I think they are it's a simple process. Install the metal retaining ring in the hub with a small hammer with light tapping. Then install the horn contact in the hub with the carbon touching the horn button contact, then push the horn button in with your fingers pushing on the outer edges. Then put on the rubber horn surround.

Thanks Keith, you were very helpful. Had to do a little fitting with the horn button, but got it back together.
