TR6 TR6 Steering wheel advice needed

I am thinking about going to a leather covered aftermarket steering wheel for my 1974 TR6.
I am thinking about looking for a wheel that would be slightly smaller in overall dia., and with a slightly thicker leather rim.

So, send me your ideas, comments and pictures please.

In the Victoria British catalog on page 20, they show a 14" leather steering wheel. Slightly smaller than the original wheel, thicker leather covered rim. Your choice of black or polished spokes. Hub is included. $249

Here you can see how it looks on your car. I just noticed this car has one on it.

Understand that decreasing the diameter of the steering wheel will noticeably increase the amount of effort needed to maneuver the car whilst trying to park or drive at parking speed.

Yes it will increase the ammount of effort but not too much unless you go for a tiny wheel . I have a 72 with a standard wheel and a 70 with a 14" wheel . I have not really noticed a tremendous difference.
 
Don't go smaller than 14". 14 looks good, and gives you a little more thigh room. Check also into Mountney brand wheels. Often good deals on Ebay UK.
