TR6 TR6 starts, runs, then dies

I've just got my TR6 (sort of) running after 2-3 idle years. I've replaced ignition parts - coil, points, cap, rotor. I drained the gas and added new. It started and idled well for about 10 minutes, then coughed and died. Would not re-start. Couple of hours later, it occured to me it may have run out of gas. I added about a gallon. It started and ran fine for 5 minutes, then died again. Would not re-start. I appreciate any ideas.

Definitely change the fuel filter. I thought that I nad a problem with my carbs, but it was a clogged fuel filter. While you are at it, you should probably by the rebuild kit for your fuel pump. There is probably a lot of junk built up in there as well.

What state is your car battery in, when a car idles it relies to some extent on the battery to power the beast. Ditto starting up. If the battery, or the alternator are not functioning optimally the car may start then dies.
