TR6 tr6 Starter [again]

Well, my starter doesn't seem to want to go at all now. All I get is that dead battery click the first time then nothing. From the looks of the ignition & oil lights, it's drawing the battery. I tested the battery and I'm getting 12 volts--should I test differently?. I assume it's the starter? If so, what advice as to rebuilt or after market? TRF has a great price on the latter--much less than Moss.

Thanks.

I went with the TRF high torque starter as a replacemnt for my stock Lucas unit and have never been happier. They are adjustable in that they can be spun 180 degrees to avoid interference with headers. I don't think that you would be disappointed.

stob62, before you make a big investment, get the battery checked for a bad cell, it's called a load test and Autozone and Advance do it for free. Wayne
