TR6 TR6 sound system install ideas

Okay....bought the TR with an aftermarket head unit already installed. It has the two standard speakers installed on either side of the shifter. I am looking to install an amp as well as two more speakers behind the seats. I have an autopower rollbar which presents a challenge with rear speaker placement.

Any ideas on amp location or rear speaker size and location? THX.

I keep mine as floaters that way I can remove them when I want......... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif

the top sill folds in fine.....

Tilt those bad boys up to blast the ear drums right out.

Same here. I have a pair on 6x9's in boxes on the back shelf that have enough wire slack so that I can pull them out when I'm at the river or beach.

I've seen people install 6x9's in the rear panel they look great, but when the top is down you cant hear them.

I installed 6x9's in the back. Built boxes that angle so they can be heard a little better. When travelling for a weekend, they can be stood on end for space conservation.
I put strips of velcro in the bottoms so they don't slide around. Also used Posi-loc connectors that can be disconnected in seconds should I need to stow them in the trunk.

I hate to be an old fuddy-duddy, but speakers installed behind the seats with anything less than secure bolt-downs become potential lethal projectiles in the even of a front-end collision (Lord forbid). I installed every concievable sound system in my car before I realized that the only sounds I could hear were my mufflers singing to me. I now am sound-system-less.
