I have emaile JM Wagner Sales a dozen times over the past couple weeks to order one. No response. Is he still around?

Justin Wagner has a "day job" that sometimes keeps him very, very busy and away from his email for months on end.

I certainly hope he's still around though, since he's agreed to host a club party next month.

"away from his email for months on end."

I get busy too, but that is wierd. If I lost contact with my customers for "hours on end" I would be out of business.

Anyone can find 10 minutes a day to track his email.

Believe it or not, there are still places in the world that don't have Internet connections ...

I shouldn't speak for Justin, as I may have this wrong ... but as I see it, the essential difference is that he is not selling gaskets as a profit-making enterprise. Instead, he developed the original gasket for his own TR4, and started selling them to others more or less as a favor to the community. The 6-cylinder version was only by "popular demand" (although I suspect he was considering owning one) and took a long, long time to come to fruition.

IOW, it's a hobby, not a business.

Of course, the other difference is that he has no competition. There simply is no place else you can buy anything even remotely similar. I daresay your business is not in the same situation /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Justin has a great product and has a business. He has a business name and conducts intrastate, interstate, and possibly international business under that name. As such he has moral and legal responsibilities.

That said, I believe he is an honest person offering a quality product. My experience with him was entirely positive. I think he started something that may have grown bigger than he had in mind in the beginning. I hope things work out because the product is important to our hobby and I especially would like to have him around if I ever need a replacement gasket.

Larry's comment in a previous post is why I did not simply send a check. Hopefully he will come though for Larry and contact me soon.

I sent him an email, got a response within a week, mailed a check and had my gasket kit with 10 days from start of the process. Now I just need to get enough miles on the car to install it when I retorque the head.
