Plagued with electrical gremlins all weekend... Can anyone out there say if the turn signal switch should still be operational with the hazard switch removed??
After swapping in a new turn signal switch I could not get any response from activating the turn signal. I just figured the vendor sent me a lemon, but (1) the old turn signal also no longer activated the blinkers (it formerly had b4 i removed it), and (2) the new one tested good on the multi-meter.
So for the heck of it I start activating the hazard switch off/on when the fuse mysteriously burns out. I now cannot activate the hazards at all because i keep going thru fuses. Screwed with that hazard so much that i ended up breaking off the red knob. The thing was ancient, so I'm just going to order a new hazard switch.
Not sure if the turn signal problem is related to the hazard switch problem; they both failed within 24 hrs of each other.
While awaiting a new hazard switch, I'd really like to get the turn signals going again. Just need to know if the hazard switch needs to be in place before I go troubleshooting the turn signal switch.
Many thanks in advance, hope you all are enjoying these final weeks of summer, saw a beautiful english white tr3 cruising Ocean Drive while i was in newport ri today.
