Ok, so I think I've found me a new set of seats but they're about 3 hours away, I figure I'll make it a nice family roadtrip with one problem....we won't all fit in the sonoma....so my question is can I seperate the upper part of the seat from the bottom part(to fit them in the caddy)??? If so how difficult is it?(can I do it in this guys driveway??) Otherwise I am gunna have to rent a crew cab truck.

Ok I'm gonna be brave and ask what is a sonoma? I know GMC has a truck called sonoma and if its that I don't understand w why the seats wouldn't fit in the bed. But then again there are a lot of things I don't understand. Thanks for answering my silly question.

Oh, no the seats with fit in the Sonoma(Smaller GMC pickup)no problem, but the Sonoma only has 3 seats...and since I wanna bring the wife and kids along for the ride(none of us have been out this was before) I need to seat four. The STS has a "mobster trunk" so it might fit(i'll measure on friday) but if not I wanna be prepared.

Take the bodies out of the trunk of the Caddy and they should both be able to lay down in there with room to spare. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Or, you can always test fit the current seat(s) in to the trunk to get an idea. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, I am hoping they will fit lying down. I still have the old seats in the car(cuz I like driving it around with seats /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif) but I'll measure them up and check.

Two 1/2" wrenches and two minutes each would have both seats off the runners and out of the car. Only slightly longer to put them back in. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Another five minutes per side would have the runners out.
