TR6 TR6 seats in a TR4A

I have two seats from a TR6 with frames. I have the original leather ones from the 4A in the car now.

I understand the frames are are different for the two seats. But I can't tell if the attachment points are the same in the vehicle. It looks like the 4A seats are bolted into captured nuts in the floorboards. Will the 6 seat frames use the same nuts, or will I have to redo the mounting points?

I need to know before taking the seats out, with a newborn, I have to make any repair jobs as efficient as possible.

Am I under the impression You want to "Add" TR6 seats into Your TR4A in place of the Orig. TR4A Seats? If so; Why?? Why not just get the Orig. Re-Upholstered or Dyed or Something!! Putting those High Back TR6 seats in Your TR4 will (In My Opinion Only) ruin the Look and De-Value Your Car "Big Time"!!!! Nothing Personal to the TR6 Owners:

More comfortable, better support, less upright. I have no intention separating the original seats from the car, as in not selling them if I put TR6 seats in. I have no problem making improvements that suit me. The car was modified long ago by the orginal owner (hot cam, milled cylinder head, homemade sway bars....)

Half an answer... yes, the seat tracks are bolted front & rear with bolts into captive nuts. Use some PB-Blaster or whatever on those bolts if they haven't been undone in 40 years -- they are not beefy and will twist right off if they are rusted.

Given the similarity between the 4 & 6 between the A & B posts it seems likely the swap would use the same holes, but can;t say for certains.

Ditto on the suggestion to keep the original seats in the car -- at the very least consider keeping them on hand for the next owner who may want to return the car to original.
