My car is missing trim piece #43. This part is cheap and easily purchased from Moss and all the other suppliers. The problem is that (even thought I've bought 3!) they never fit. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif It's possible that my valance has been repaired and the front angle has been changed (you could never tell if this is the case). I'd just leave the trim off, but then there are the metal clips which hold the trim on showing (so attractive). I'm wondering if anyone else has had trouble fitting this piece and does anyone else have an original stock trim piece that I could restore and maybe use?

I've tried modifing the trim pieces from Moss and as I've said I've bought three, all of which are all now junk as I've ruined them beyond repair.

Try the one from TRF. I have had no problem with the fit. Could be a different manufacture.

Larry: I am also using the "finisher" from TRF. It fits perfectly.

Look at the picture - the first one with all the numbers on it...

I got one from TRF also - worked great.
I folded the old one in two,it was so rusted.

For some reason, probably known only to Basil, some of us receive these 'internal' pictures on a sporadic basis. The post I see from Larry does not contain a picture of the Moss catalog page although I knew full well of what he was speaking.

Mine doesn't have any picture. I guess you need to be a higher rank to benefit from a picture.
