Saturday 11-7, yesterday finally no rain, got a lot done, the second blocking, about 40 spots to fill with glazing puddy, then at 4 another coat of primer surfacer, latest pics, today block the car again, getting closer

for your vewing pleasure

Boy it sure would be nice to live in an area that would let you paint a car at home. EPA and the ADAQ would be all over your --- here. Looks like a great job.

I don't know if they let you paint a car at home in New York, but I did anyway. I just turned my garage into a paint booth with nice cross ventilation, and a filter over the fan blowing out.

End result...

Do you have a photo of your paint booth setup? Did you have to do a lot of sanding to get rid of the dust in the paint?

Looks like it is coming right along, I can't wait to see the finished job. it is hard to imagine how much time this take but to make it look really nice it takes sooooooo much time. here is part of my booth. messy i know. :-0

yea well I have found if you ask they say no. So I use the same rules as old uncle sam dont ask dont tell! Nice paint booth TR4 dude, once I get to that point a pic of my paint booth will be posted, but another great day in NC temp in the mid 70s and more sanding done, looks like the boot has a lot of minor waves in it, but progress indeed and yes 2 part glazing puddy, great stuff
 
That work is turning out great Hondo - take your time and you will be enjoying a beautiful paint job in no time. Then you can do mine.

No photos, but what I did was go to Home Depot and get several rolls of thin plastic that they use for drop cloths etc. I then stapled and/or taped it over everything in the garage, with the exception of the window fan I placed in the rear window of the garage. I rigged up a filter (like used in hot air heating systems) to go over the fan. The fan was about two feet square. When I got ready to paint, I would open the garage door about 4"-6", turn on the fan and spray the floor with water to keep down the dust.

It all worked quite well. I wish all I had was some dust in the paint. I sanded more orange peel and a couple of drips then I cared to...but that's another story involving a longtime friend and body man who actually shot the final coats.
