Due to some medical issues, this Summer saw the TR6 on jack stands until Aug. 31st when she hit the road for the first time since the initial Spring run in April. I cleaned her up in September and snuck her into the garden for some pics while the missus was out shopping. The whole back end underneath is rebuilt and detailed. This Winter will see the front getting the same treatment along with the new engine, gearbox and rack. Here's my favorite.

Looks Great Bob. Love the white.

Thanks Tush. Seems I saw your white one on a LBC website this week. Maybe Ottawa Valley Triumph club meet? Looks like you now have twin hoop chrome roll bar. Looks great and I love those wheels.
Cheers,

Hi Bob,

Thanks. Could have been in Ottawa...been hanging out with those guys for the past couple of years. Some great guys in the OVTC.

I added the roll bar about 2 years ago now. Here is a pic from this year outside one of the winery visits down in Galena IL.

Got to love those white TR6s!

Nice to see a reference to our OVTC website!

I think you should show off your seats mike, they are cool.

Cheers,
Tush

Wow Mike - nice! Are those original fold-down TR6 seats?
Tush: looks like your roll bar is the "black" chrome. Don't know how I saw chrome plating in the pic. Is that bar from the guy in Quebec who was advertising on-line a couple of years ago? He disappeared.
Cheers,

Hi Bob,

Yes, the bar was from Francois in Quebec. He seems to have gotten away from manufacturing parts for the TR6 now as he has a new hobby building furniture.

Cheers,
Tush

Sure is nice - too bad he gave it up. Maybe he'll do a solid wood mahogany double hoop roll bar.......... :jester:

Tush, what wheels are you using? Those look great, especially on the white car. Also, where did you get that roll bar? Also a very nice look.

I think that those are Konig Rewinds with the dark gray or black center. They look like my all silver Konig wheels.

Hi John,

Yep, they are Graphite Center, Konig's, 16X7 running Yokohama Avid TRZ 205/60's.

Read up the thread for the Roll Bar info. Custom made by a gentleman in Quebec although he no longer makes them...I think he did a production run of 20 at the time.

Sorry for stealing your thread Bob....

Tush

On the contrary Tush. The best threads are the ones that keep building on the original post. Look at all the great pics and comments we've got now. Got to say that the original Olde English White sure sets the car off and those wheels were made for her. I've been thinking of switching back to the original white for some time now. I had mine painted in 2005 and it's still looking very good but when it's time to respray it will likely be the Olde English. You've got a great looking car!
Cheers,

Hi Bob, Great looking car! I am currently removing the paint from my maple brown TR6 and am planning a thorough colour change to white. I just stumbled onto your pics and your white is exactly what I had in mind - could you tell me/us the paint specifics / code / manufacturer - that was used on your car? (as others clearly like your white as well). I would be most grateful indeed. Thanks. James

Someone on the 6-Pack is painting their TR6 a Pearl White and the preliminary photos look beautiful. I would have never thought of that, but it is quite nice to see.

Hi James:
Glad you like it. Dave's (Tush's) white looks like the original Leyland or Olde English White while mine I believe is a Ford white picked from a color chart. For what it's worth I regret not going with the Olde English White, which I got from the TR6 color chart available on-line. IMHO, the Leyland white is warmer and has more depth in daylight. Bright white tends to be plain and colorless when next to a nice red, blue or green TR6 but is an absolute standout at night. If you want a brighter white than Tush's I have the paint samples with the numbers but will have to check with the paint shop to see which is the Ford White and which is the Olde English. The samples are beat up and the color is almost gone so I'd have to get them to explain the codes and the paint manufacturer. If you still want them post back or send me a PM. British Leyland paint code 19 for white shows DuPont 43182. That should be Olde English White. Check with any paint shop or Google further. This TR6 looks like Olde English White.
