TR6 TR6 Ignition Key

I just purchased a '72 TR6 and it came with only one, non-original, ignition key. I understand that there is a serial number associated with purchasing the proper key, but have no idea where such a number is found. Additionally, I understand that there is a gentleman in Maryland that is "the" Triumph key expert. I would welcome any help on the serial number question and on contacting the key expert. Thanks!

Maryland would be Pete Groh, I think.

George Richardson is another key expert, but he's in New York

Sorry, can't help with where to find the number on a TR6.

However, if your current key works the lock OK, another option might be to buy a blank on eBay and take it to your local locksmith for cutting. You'll need to find a real locksmith, not the droid at Home Depot or Menards; but there are still a few of them around. Try any hardware store that has been in operation for more than 20 years.
