TR6 TR6 Hoodstick

Anyone has an idea to stop the TR6 hoodstick to vibrate, rattle and being noisy?

I cut a 1/4" length of fuel line and used that as a washer where the rod bolts to the hood. No more rattle !

Covered the whole thing with black electrical shrink tubing.

Isn't a hoodstick used to keep the top up? My bonnet prop doesn't rattle.

No kidding. To add insult to injury, I dropped a bike rack on the TR yesterday and put two nice dents and a scratch on the drver's side door and fender.

Must be a sign that I should do a full restoration...

Mine started with two leaking carb shafts about four years ago....
