OK, here's maybe a strange question. In looking at photos of TR6 interiors, I've started noticing that some gearsticks are angled near to the horizontal, whereas others are angled near to the vertical.
Here's a photo of what I mean:

These photos are taken from a few current Ebay auctions. The top three show the upright gearstick, the bottom three the more laid back gearstick (I'm assuming all cars are in Neutral, so I'm comparing oranges with oranges).
What is causing this difference? Are there two ways of attaching the gearstick to the transmission?
Earth shattering stuff, I know, but my curiosity has overcome my restraint about posting such a triviality /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif
