HI I'M RESTORING MY DASH AND WANT TO REMOVE THE BEZEL ON MY GAUGES SO I CAN PAINT THE BEZEL AND CLEAN UP THE GLASS. TRIED TO REMOVE THEM WITH LITTLE SUCESS. DON'T WANT TO BREAK THEM, ANY TIPS? THANX, JIM D.

Clean off as much of the crud as you can along the backside of the bezel, then turn. The bezel comes off like a bayonet mount lens on a camera.

Just so happens I removed my dash this weekend to refinish it. I decided that I need to redo my bezels, what would be a good paint and method for these? Also, as a side note, the job grew when I discovered that sometime in the past there had been a partial meltdown of the main electrical harness. It's a good thing that I enjoy messing about with my Triumphs! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

I redid my dash and bezels last year. If you have access to a sandblaster give them a quick cleaning then spray them with rattle can primer and your choice of gloss, satin or flat black....assuming they are not chrome! Easy job and they make the whole package look great.
