Does anyone have a copy of the 1969 Triumph TR6 Front Suspension Restoration Project Part One-Disassembly by Dale (Tinster)?? I have found parts II & III, but having difficulty with Part I. My email is joseph_mannino@yahoo.com
 
The best guy to ask would be Dale and he'll probably be around soon after he finishes driving all over the island or catching tarpons this morning.

Send him a PM in case he misses this thread, which is doubtful, but possible.

I plan on replacing all bushings, Shocks, Springs, Tie Rod Ends, Trunnions, Anti-Sway Links, Upper Ball Joints, Fulcrum pins. Am I missing anything critical?
 
I failed to realize how important it is to renew the inner tie rod ends. That was a disappointing mistake I had to correct. Also,if the budget allows, put Konis on.
 
Thanks Jay, some nice images and quite a collection of vehicles. Have to draw some lines with the budget, went with some basics.

Joe,

I'll be happy to walk you thru the process if you post progress photos
so other members may learn. Unless you already know your trunnions and fulcrum
pins are messed up, I would NOT purchase them in advance. Steering rack boots
are inexpensive and you should probably buy a pair. I purchased all new fasteners;
at a minimum you will need all new locknuts and new lock washers.

Do one side of the car at a time. The second side will be completed much faster.

Could you pull off a front wheel and post a photo of your existing front suspension?

Have ALL your parts in-hand before you start the project.

What vendors and composition bushings and springs are you going to be using. Please be aware that there is healthy debate about the impact of new springs on our cars. More specifically, some vendors springs make the cars sit very high and other too low. Better to find out now - ask me how I know....
