TR6 TR6 FRONT SHOCKS?

[ QUOTE ]
Swift6:
Do you have a KYB part number for the front shocks?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not a KYB part number. They came from BPNW. Quite a few years ago now. Sorry.

My Koni's on the front are holding up well, the Spax on the rear already need to be tightened up. Thank goodness that can be accomplished with a long, thin screwdriver from the back.
I have a brand new set of KYB's that came with my BPNW tube shock conversion kit. I drove them around the block and determined that the KYB shock was too harsh for my candy butt. If someone wants a brand new set of KYB's, their yours for the rear conversion, they are yours for the asking. Just send a pm. Shocks are free, postage should be about $8.

I saw BPNW's ad in the Hemmings for SPAX front shocks at $31 ( that's the non gas SPAX) and $41 for the gas Spax. He did not list KYB's. I have nothing against either shocks, with my limited driving lowest price quality shock is what I am after. Do you know what the KYB's sell for when on special? With Michelin X 185X15 tires, gas shock is just a surprise emission. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

It must be a misprint or misread, You cant hardly find any Spax for less than $90 each (gas adjustable). BPNW sells their KYBs for $41 and the Spax for $90 (front or back) and it is hard to beat BPNW on theese prices. Ive never seen non gas-non adjustable Spax for a tr6?.--------Michelin tires and suprise emission,-- Huh??

Allan:
I bet you are correct. I went back to the June Hemmings Triumph parts ad and saw the SPAX in the oval logo with the next line stating: Front Shocks STD (GAS $41.00) $31.00 I may be guilty of being snookered with the marketing hype.

Now that I have re-read the ad it does not say WHAT brand the shocks are!
