Hello all! I wish you all a happy Holiday Season! I am happy to be here and hope I can learn and contribute. I am on my second TR6, a 1976 Racing Green which has not been driven since at least 2009. Engine now runs. I am fixing up brakes, bushings, etc. Will then install new floorpans and seats. I am at your service!

JA - welcome to BCF. How'd you get interested in the TR6 cars? They are *very* popular here.

Thank you Tom! I started with a way too nice barn find, a non-starting, gorgeous 1985 Jaguar XJ-S, that my boss found close to my job. I got her for an outrageously low price and got her running. I started reading up on old British cars. I was blown away when I saw a Spitfire, and then even more when I saw a TR6. I looked for one for a while and bought a very beat up but solid white 1974 TR6. It was in Maui and I shipped it home and sold the Jaguar. Got the white one running right and then an opportunity popped up for a 1976 TR6 in original racing green! Got it and sold the white one which is now in Aguascalientes, Mexico. How about that? I am now thinking of installing Scat Pro-90 seats in her since the originals were toast. And here I am! What about you?

Hi JA - that is quite a story, altho' to be honest, I think if I heard of a desirable car in Maui, I'd fly out there and never return!

I'll PM you tonight with a story of how my old car interest started, and the 50 years that have followed. Beware!
Tom M.
