TR6 TR6 dropped the Diff out and half shaft question

decided to drop the Differential out today, no\ problem, going to send it off to be rebuild, my question is on the half shafts. I read you can swap the half shafts from left to right to put the drive pressure on the opposite side of the splines, would it be wise just to swap the outer splines housings or should I swap the complete half shafts or do nothing but clean and regrease, and has any one drilled the shaft housing and intalled a grease nipple

I had no major wear on mine when I had the diff out last year.

We installed new bearings/joints after cleaning and reassembled as as originally positioned left and right.
 
I don't know about swapping the units side to side; can't think of any reason why you couldn't though.
I certainly wouldn't mix the splines by switching only the outer halves though.
I don't think having a grease zerk would make much difference, these splines don't really take on much wear at least relative to the U joints.
