TR6 TR6 Damper failure!

Good Morning
Yesterday, I found that the damper on the 6 had failed.
I had this rebuilt when I rebuilt the engine, which was 16,500 miles back.

Is there any thing else I should check that may have been a cause or anything that I should look at that may have been affected by this failing?

Damperdudes still considered a good place to go?

Thanks in advance.

I had mine redone by dalemfg.com about 9 years & 26k miles ago with no problems. He did a pretty good job.

As to why yours failed - I'd only be guessing. If the belt was too tight I'd think the the alternator or wp bearing would fail first. Maybe there was a bubble in the damper rubber?

Well turns out that my machine shop used Damperdudes to re-manufacture my damper.
Damperdudes is closed today and tomorrow. Nothing is going to happen quickly it feels like.
