TR6 TR6 courtesy light wiring help

The reason a purple comes off the switch is that it doesn't come off the iggy switch

It's the headlight column switch, my bad as usual and the purple from it on the diagram shows it going next to the glove box which works.
The tunnel lamp, door switches and trunk lamp have zero power.

It's odd that Dan Masters didn't label the "round thing".

Functionally it appears to be an early version of the main lighting switch. Later cars have a simpler switch with 3 of the 5 wires connected to it (browse down in the PDF to the '73 and later cars to see the 3 terminal lighting switch).

Therefore, I would start you search for the missing purple wire voltage by looking at the main lighting switch.

You should have a brown (always hot) wire feeding the fuse for all the purple wires.
The brown wire originates from a terminal block. See if you can trace the brown/red wire on the alternator to the terminal block.
You may find it on the driver side inner fender...not far from the fuse box.

Yes Poolboy the purples out of the box have juice, spent hours on this problem now and gotta get it figured out so i can put my seat back in

The way TR works is there should be a double bullit connector somewhere around that GB light
I bet htat's where the trouble lies

Didn't use a dbl bullet just black/black pw/pw and p/p
No power to purple at tunnel or either door

I can't believe I'm answering this.
Where the heck are the TR6 owners
Shhes
ELLIOTT!!!!
You see the big connector that purple wire is going to? That should have one leading to the pass door and one leading to the drivers door IIRC

Fixed finally. In this photo you can see 3 black wires terminated that are covered by a black (not sure what it is, it's hard)
The 3 purples were in the same type of black thing. I opened it up figuring the 3 purples would be together. They weren't one had a lug pressed on the end, the others were snipped off, you can see the green corrosion on the tips. Found one purple was for the boot lamp, one for the tunnel lamp and one hot. So soldered them together, put some heat shrink on and fixed.
I didn''t mess with the backs since all my lights work fine.
I saw the 3 purples and blacks early on but looked like it belonged that way. Wrong!
