In process of installing a new top on a TR6, no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get the rear window, "tight," ie, no sags. from left to right, its fine, but not up and down..... Is there a trick? Does the strapping material hold the key to this? I have read the article in the Buckeye TR website, and I just cannot seem to figure this out....HELP!!!!!!!

If it is an older manufactured Robbins top, maybe 5 years or more, there was a period where Robbins added extra material in the rear widow area. I'm not certain exactly where, but was told about it by a gentleman who installs a lot of tops. He got the information from Doug Robbins. I believe it was done to allow easier zipping of the rear window. The problem has been corrected.
My top is dated on the left side 1/4 window.

I didn't have this specific problem but when I installed my top I was worried about it being too saggy. I bought longer bolts for the rear stiffener/cowl plate. I glued the rear stiffener to the top but didn't tighten the bolts down leaving it positioned an inch or so off the rear cowl. I attached the top to the header and all the other fun stuff involved during top installation. I then tightened down the rear stiffener/cowl plate bolts to pull the top taut. It was a bit tough to latch the top the first time but after week in the sun it got much easier.
