TR6 TR6 convertible top cover...help!

- about to buy one of these from TRF...car didn't come with one so don't know what to buy. My interior colour is light beige (trim #74)...car color BRG (#75). Is there an original color for the top cover and/or tonneau with these codes?

- can anyone recommend best color match for this interior...I'm thinking caramel tan...can't imagine what khaki tan would be like...shame TRF doesn't have some photos of cars fitted with the different colours...even a color chart on their web site would be helpful. I know color renditions on a 'puter screen can be off but gotta be better than nothing.

- also, would be interested to hear anyone's comments on material types...robbins/everflex/sunfast...durability. Are they worth the extra $$ over the robbins.

- are there any other supplier sites out there that may show pictures of fitted covers?

thanks

It's not TRF, but Prestige Auto Trim has a color chart that might give you some idea. Their "SV Tan" looks to me like the caramel tan TRF provides (which, in turn, is roughly equivalent to Triumph's "New Tan" interior color). I'm only guessing that "SV Beige" is more like TRF's khaki?

Check out ebay for this item. They usually go for small numbers on there ($20-$25).

The Khaki Tan would match your light tan interior. Caramel tan is the match for new tan. I run khaki with my light tan interior and it looks great.

Not sure what your budget is, but I have a pair of top covers (one for when the hardtop is fitted, one not) in near NOS condition. No rips, tears, all snaps fine. Still stamped CHS / Coventry Hood and Sidescreen. They will go to eBay shortly.

Edit: Oops, just noticed you are looking for TR6, these are late Spitfire.
