thats fine if its mounted and isn't practical. now to the important issue you just brought up. are you gonna fax us a picture of beer? If so its probably not worth the effert to send a picture of beer but if its the real think send them out asap. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm loath to post, but as someone interested in original documentation on our cars, I'd love to see a build sheet or original window sticker. Perhaps if Bob were willing -- and I realize that this would be asking a favor, so I certainly no problem if he wants to say no -- he could scan it in and then simply blank out VIN numbers, body number, etc. if it's there. I'd just be interested in seeing what it looked like! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also, I haven't taken the door panels off yet, but did Leyland hide a build sheet somewhere in the car in the way that some manufacturers do?

In response to your original post; The bottom line on the sticker price for my wife's '75 was $48XX.XX. She paid $4500.00 and got them to throw in an AM/FM radio and a hardtop. With those exceptions, the car was 100% stock. This was in July 1975 at Cloverleaf Motors in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Add to that the additional shipping charges to get it back to Alaska and she had over $7k in it before it was in our garage.

I know we have the window sticker and all the original paperwork somewhere, (5 moves, 6,000 miles and 30 years have taken their toll) if I ever find it I will share a copy. As for an actual 'build sheet', I do not recall seeing one, but it may be with the other papers.

I don't think so. With all the good info floating around these days and everyone restoring their cars I've never heard of anyone finding anything like that.

[/ QUOTE ]I've never seen a "build sheet" for the entire car, but I have encountered various supplier labels on components, such as a "Prest Fibre" label on the back of several Herald dashboards, "Bluecol" antifreeze tags, etc.

It might not list the price but it will list 'the original numbers and colour scheme, dates of build and despatch, and where available, the details of factory fitted equipment'. All from the factory archives held at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon UK. (Which, BTW, is a really nice tour to include on any trip to England.) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Besides, its not like these cars had a ton of variation from the factory so there was no real need for a "build sheet" similar to what American cars might have come with. Most accessories were dealer installed. Now if its a "window sticker" your looking for, different than a "build sheet", it still probably won't offer much info other than cost, taxes, shipping, delivery etc... Can't really say as I have not see any of those other than blank reproductions.
